FAQs

What is the minimum age to obtain a White Card in NSW?

The minimum age to apply for a White Card in New South Wales is 14 years old.

I just arrived in Australia and don’t have enough 100-point ID to enroll in a White Card course. What can I do?

For students who have been in Australia for less than six weeks, you only need to provide evidence of your arrival date (e.g., air ticket, boarding pass, or e-ticket), passport, and overseas drivers license. Alternatively, you can use your passport and one bank card (either an Australian or overseas bank card).

What is a USI?

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number for life. It provides an online record of your vocational education and training (VET) undertaken in Australia. Without a valid USI, we cannot issue any certificates or Statements of Attainment (SOA), including the White Card.

What is the 100-point ID?

Please attach the 100-point ID checklist here.

Are original IDs required?

Yes, all IDs must be original as per SafeWork NSW White Card requirements.

How long is the White Card course?

The White Card course is one day long, approximately 6 hours.

Will I receive a certificate and a card?

Upon completing the course, you will receive a SafeWork NSW White Card certificate, valid for 60 days. This certificate includes a temporary White Card number in the top right corner. The actual physical card will be sent to your address by SafeWork NSW within 4-5 weeks.

What kind of address is required?

Your residential and postal address must be accurate and match the information on your Evidence of Identity (EOI) form. If you mistakenly provide the wrong postal address, do not contact Comsec Training. Instead, please call SafeWork NSW to correct the address and request a new White Card.

What should I do if I lose my White Card and need a replacement?
